How to Use the Live Chat Widget in Blitz Rocket

Getting Started with Live Chat

Blitz Rocket includes a built-in live chat widget that lets you communicate directly with your audience in real time. Whether you're answering questions, providing support, or just checking in, the chat widget makes it easy to stay connected.

Starting a Chat

Visitors to your page can start a conversation at any time by clicking the chat widget. Here's what happens when a chat begins:

  • The visitor types a message and it is delivered to you instantly.
  • You'll be notified of new incoming messages so you can respond promptly.
  • Messages from you (the creator) and the visitor are clearly distinguished in the conversation thread.

Responding to Messages

Once a chat is open, simply type your reply in the message box and send. The conversation is logged in real time, so both you and the visitor can follow the full thread without missing any context.

Closing a Chat

When a conversation has been resolved or is no longer active, you can mark it as Closed. Closing a chat:

  • Marks the conversation as resolved in your dashboard.
  • Records a system message noting who closed the chat and when.
  • Keeps the full message history available for your reference.

To close a chat, look for the Close or Mark as Closed option within the chat window.

Chat Priorities

Each chat is assigned a priority level (e.g., Normal). You can use priority settings to help triage conversations and ensure urgent issues are handled first.

Customer Satisfaction (CSAT) Ratings

After a chat is closed, visitors may have the option to leave a CSAT rating and comment to share feedback on their support experience. These ratings help you understand how well your team is serving your audience.

Tips for a Great Chat Experience

  • Respond as quickly as possible — visitors appreciate fast replies.
  • Be friendly and concise in your messages.
  • Close chats once an issue is resolved to keep your inbox organized.
  • Review closed chat histories to identify common questions and improve your help content.

If you have any trouble with the chat widget, feel free to reach out to our support team for assistance.
