Getting Started with Blitz Rocket
Why Does the Facebook Comment Picker Only Show a Few Comments?
Finding the Correct Facebook Post URL for the Comment Picker
To use the Facebook Comment Picker — whether for a standalone giveaway or as a bonus action inside a competition — you'll need to provide the correct URL for your Facebook post. Here's how to find it.
How to Get Your Facebook Post URL
On Desktop
- Go to your Facebook Page or profile and find the post you want to use.
- Click the date/time stamp below the post (e.g. "2 hours ago" or "June 1"). This opens the post on its own page.
- Copy the URL from your browser's address bar. It should look something like:
https://www.facebook.com/yourpage/posts/1234567890
On Mobile
- Find the post in your Facebook app.
- Tap the three dots (…) in the top-right corner of the post.
- Select "Copy link" from the menu.
- Paste that link into the Facebook Comment Picker.
Using the URL as a Competition Bonus Action
If you're adding a "Comment on Facebook Post" bonus action inside a Blitz Rocket competition, paste the same post URL into the action's link field. Participants will be directed to that post to leave a comment, and you can later use the Comment Picker to draw a winner from those comments.
Tips for a Valid URL
- Make sure the post is set to Public — private or friends-only posts cannot be accessed by the picker.
- Avoid using URLs that contain
?ref=tracking parameters if possible, as these can sometimes cause issues. Use the clean post URL where you can. - Reel (video) posts on Facebook use a slightly different URL format, such as:
https://www.facebook.com/reel/1234567890
Copy this directly from the browser address bar when viewing the Reel.
Still Having Trouble?
If the picker isn't loading your comments or is showing an error, double-check that:
- The post URL is complete and not truncated.
- The post belongs to a Page or profile you manage (for best results).
- The post is publicly visible.
