Why Does the Facebook Comment Picker Only Show a Few Comments?

Why Does the Facebook Comment Picker Only Show a Few Comments?

If you're using the Facebook Comment Picker tool in Blitz Rocket and notice that only a small number of comments are being loaded (for example, just two or three), this is a known limitation caused by Facebook restricting access to comment data.

Why Does This Happen?

Blitz Rocket uses a scraper to retrieve comments from a Facebook post. Facebook actively limits and blocks external tools from accessing large volumes of comment data. As a result, the scraper may only be able to retrieve a portion of the total comments on a post — this is not a bug within Blitz Rocket itself, but rather a restriction enforced by Facebook.

What Can You Do?

  • Try again: Facebook's restrictions can vary from attempt to attempt. Simply re-running the comment picker may return more comments the next time.
  • Try at a different time: Waiting a few minutes or hours before retrying can sometimes yield better results, as Facebook's scraping limits may reset.
  • Use a post with a public audience: Make sure the Facebook post is set to Public. Posts with restricted privacy settings will limit what the scraper can access.

Important Note

Unfortunately, there is no guaranteed way to retrieve every single comment from a Facebook post due to these platform-level restrictions. We understand this can be frustrating, and we recommend retrying a few times to get the best possible results.
