The Prize
$17,494 backyard bundle led by the Dome XL Gen 2
How Entry Worked
- •Launched ahead of the Dome XL Gen 2 release on October 15, so the prize was a product nobody could buy yet
- •Four partner brands (AlumiTubs, Business & Pleasure Co., Made In, Slowtide) stacked into one winner-takes-all bundle
- •Every prize is backyard-themed, so the bundle reads as one lifestyle rather than a grab bag
- •Open across the UK, US, Canada and four EU markets with eligibility stated on the page

Gozney makes outdoor pizza ovens, and in autumn 2025 it was two weeks away from launching its largest one, the Dome XL (Gen 2). Rather than announce the oven with a press release, it made the oven the prize. The Ultimate Backyard Giveaway offered one winner a Dome XL (Gen 2) with a full accessory set, plus a wood-fired hot tub, and gift cards from three partner brands, for a combined value of $17,494.
Entries opened on September 27 and closed at 11:59pm BST on October 10, 2025, five days before the oven went on sale. The campaign finished with 33K+ confirmed entries.
Gozney has run giveaways on Blitz Rocket since October 2021: sixteen campaigns and 237K+ confirmed entries, most of them built the same way, around a specific oven and a set of partner brands.
Campaign Strategy
The core move is using the giveaway as the launch. The page told entrants the Dome XL (Gen 2) was "Gozney's biggest, most versatile pizza oven yet, launching 15th October," so every entrant learned the product name, the launch date and the headline features before they could buy it. The 33K+ people on the list at close were a warm audience for launch day.
The partner stack multiplies the prize without multiplying Gozney's cost. AlumiTubs supplied a $7,695 hot tub, Business & Pleasure Co. a $5,000 gift card, Made In and Slowtide $1,000 each. Every partner sells to the same backyard-and-entertaining customer, so each one had a reason to promote the campaign to its own audience, and the bundle reads as one coherent prize rather than a pile of unrelated items.
The page was explicit about eligibility, listing the UK, US (with state exclusions), Canada (excluding Quebec) and Germany, Belgium, the Netherlands and Austria. That is unglamorous, but stating it up front removes the most common reason an international entrant abandons a form.
- Prize is the unreleased product, positioned five days before launch
- Winner-takes-all bundle worth $17,494, led by a $2,799 oven
- Four co-branded partners with overlapping audiences
- Two-week entry window with a hard, launch-linked deadline
- Multi-region eligibility spelled out on the page
Viral Mechanics & Growth Engine
The Blitz Rocket flow on the page was the standard ladder: enter, share, complete tasks, collect points, win. What made it spread was the partner structure. Five brands each had a prize on the page and a reason to post about it, so the campaign reached five audiences with one landing page, and the winner-takes-all format gave every one of those posts the same $17,494 headline.
The launch timing adds urgency that a normal giveaway has to manufacture. The deadline was not arbitrary; it was "before the oven exists to buy," and the page said so.
Why This Strategy Works
The campaign converts launch anticipation into a list. The product is desirable precisely because it cannot be bought yet, the partners extend reach at no cost to Gozney, and the deadline is the launch itself. Every entrant finishes the campaign knowing what the Dome XL (Gen 2) is and when it arrives, which is the outcome a launch campaign is supposed to buy.
Key Takeaways
- Launch with a giveaway, not after one. Making an unreleased product the prize builds the launch list and teaches the product at the same time.
- Stack partners who share your customer. Four partners turned a $2,799 prize into a $17,494 headline and four extra distribution channels.
- Keep the bundle on-theme. Oven, hot tub, outdoor furniture, cookware, towels: one backyard, one story.
- Tie the deadline to a real event. A launch date is urgency you do not have to invent.
- State eligibility plainly so international entrants do not have to guess.
Results
33K+ confirmed entries in roughly two weeks, making it the second-largest Gozney campaign on the platform behind the 2021 Master Oven giveaway (35K+) and ahead of the 2025 Tread launch giveaway (28K+). Gozney has continued the pattern since, running a Jon & Vinny's limited-edition Dome giveaway in March 2026.
