- •Six social tasks covered Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest and YouTube, with joining the Facebook VIP group worth the most at 100 points.
- •Each referred friend earned 100 points, as much as the highest-value task.
- •Point milestones at 100, 250 and 500 added 10, 25 and 50 bonus entries on top of the points themselves.

Eleven10Leather and Designs sells through its own online shop at eleven10leather.com. In March 2021 it ran the first of two Blitz Rocket giveaways on contest.eleven10leather.com under the headline "Enter Our March Giveaway!" The sub-headline set the theme: "Ready to win everything to update your look for spring?"
The campaign ran from March 4 to March 31, 2021. The page recorded 53,119 page views and 3,227 sign-ups, of which 2,067 confirmed their email. Entrants completed 4,242 bonus actions, spread across Instagram, Facebook, Pinterest and YouTube.
A month later the brand ran a second giveaway on the same domain. Across the two campaigns the series collected 6,868 sign-ups and 3,861 confirmed entrants.
Campaign Strategy
The page promised one grand prize winner over $500 worth of prizes and framed them as a spring wardrobe refresh, which suits a shop whose customers buy for their look. The prize copy did not list the items, so the value and the seasonal theme did the selling.
The stronger decision was giving every entrant a reward. A 20% coupon unlocked at just 1 point, so it arrived with entry, and a shop task carried the code MARCHCONTEST straight to the store. Everyone who signed up left with a reason to buy, whether or not they won.
The bonus tasks were grouped by what they built:
- Community (100 pts): join the Facebook VIP group.
- Follows and visits (50 pts each): follow on Pinterest, subscribe on YouTube, visit on Instagram and visit on Facebook.
- Sharing (50 pts): re-pin the giveaway on Pinterest.
- Shop (0 pts): shop with the 20% code MARCHCONTEST.
Confirming an email added 10 points, so an entrant who completed every task finished on 360 points.
Viral Mechanics & Growth Engine
Each referred friend earned 100 points, matching the most valuable task. Milestone rewards then stacked on top of the points: 100 points added 10 bonus entries, 250 points added 25 and 500 points added 50. An entrant who did every task passed the 250 tier, but the 500 tier was only reachable with at least two referrals, so the top reward went to entrants who brought in friends.
The most-completed actions were the lowest-effort ones: 812 Instagram visits, 787 Facebook visits and 728 Pinterest follows. The Facebook VIP group, the highest-value task, drew 571 joins, a group of engaged fans the brand could keep talking to after the draw. YouTube subscriptions reached 561 and re-pins 536, which put the campaign pin onto hundreds of Pinterest boards.
The coupon shop task logged 247 completions.
Results & Impact
- 3,227 sign-ups, of which 2,067 confirmed their email (64%).
- 53,119 page views over four weeks, about one sign-up for every 16 page views.
- 4,242 bonus actions, led by 812 Instagram visits and 787 Facebook visits.
- 571 Facebook VIP group joins and 1,264 Pinterest actions (728 follows and 536 re-pins).
- 247 completions of the 20% coupon shop task.
- Two campaigns on the domain with 3,861 confirmed entrants in total.
The April 2021 follow-up, which ran from April 7 to May 3, 2021, named a specific grand prize: a Coach 1941 Rogue 25 Pebbled Leather Handbag plus gift cards for Target and the shop, a $1,000 value. It added two more re-pin tasks and a YouTube comment task and drew 3,641 sign-ups, 414 more than March, but only 1,794 confirmed their email (49%), so March remains the larger campaign by confirmed entrants.
Why This Strategy Works
With a prize of around $500, a shop has to make every entry worth something on its own. The instant coupon does that: it turns the giveaway into a promotion that pays out to everyone, and the grand prize becomes the reason to enter rather than the only reward. The point table then steers that attention toward the channels the shop owns, from the VIP group to Pinterest boards.
The milestone ladder adds a second loop. Because the tasks alone could not reach the top tier, the most motivated entrants had a clear reason to recruit friends, and each friend received the same coupon on entry. For independent fashion, accessories or gift shops that want to grow their social channels and seed sales from a modest prize, this is the template to copy.
Key Takeaways
- Give every entrant a reward. A 20% coupon at 1 point meant nobody left empty-handed.
- Name the grand prize. The April edition listed a Coach handbag and a $1,000 value and drew 414 more sign-ups than March.
- Put your community at the top of the point table. The 100-point Facebook VIP group task drew 571 joins.
- Set the top milestone above the task total. Tasks topped out at 360 points, so reaching 500 required referrals.
- Use Pinterest for a visual product. Follows and re-pins added up to 1,264 actions.
- Track confirmation, not just sign-ups. March confirmed 64% of sign-ups and April 49%, which reversed their order.
