Toolkit at 500 pts + $4,495 event-ticket draws

How Entry Worked

  • •A points tracker for event attendees: every step of the UPW journey earned points toward an automatic reward and more draw entries
  • •Actions grouped by phase (pre-event, Day 0, each event day, post-event) so the tracker doubled as the agenda
  • •Pre-event actions alone added up to 550 points, enough to unlock the 500-point toolkit before the event began
  • •The highest-value action (500 pts) on the final day asked attendees to share the next UPW

Campaign Overview

Unleash the Power Within (UPW) is Tony Robbins' flagship multi-day event. For the virtual edition in March 2022, Team Tony Robbins ran a Blitz Rocket campaign on win.tonyrobbins.com called the Unleash the Power Within Massive Action Tracker. The pitch on the page was not "enter to win"; it was "Sign up now to track your actions throughout your UPW Journey."

The campaign ran from March 9 to March 23, 2022, spanning the run-up to the event, the event itself and the days after it. 11,386 people signed up and 10,625 of them confirmed their email. More than half of all entrants, 5,907 people, went on to complete at least one tracked action, and together they logged 36,953 completed actions.

It was the second of three UPW trackers Team Tony Robbins ran on the platform, after a "Share Your Experience" campaign in June 2021 and before a July 2022 edition. Across the three, the series collected 16,468 sign-ups and 47,001 completed actions.

Campaign Strategy

The core decision was to treat the giveaway as an attendee engagement tool rather than a lead-generation form. The tracker was aimed at people already registered for UPW, and the goal was to get them to show up prepared, participate loudly during the event and stay connected afterwards. Points were the mechanism for that.

Every action was labelled by event phase, so the tracker doubled as an agenda:

  • Pre-event: join the UPW March 2022 Facebook Group (50 pts), join the Telegram channel (50 pts), complete the Power Prep (150 pts), and attend each of three Fast Start sessions (100 pts each).
  • Day 0: post on Facebook or Instagram with #UPWDay0 before the event starts (100 pts).
  • During the event: post on Facebook or Instagram with #TonyRobbinsUPW (150 pts, repeatable daily on Facebook), share your board-break video with #BoardBreaker on Day 1 (200 pts), post your UPW journey video in the Facebook Group on Day 3 (400 pts), and share the next UPW with someone on Day 4 (500 pts).
  • Post-event: share your feedback with Tony (250 pts) and share the official recap on Facebook or your Instagram Story (200 pts each).

Rewards came in two forms. Reaching 500 points automatically unlocked Tony's Ultimate Achiever Toolkit. Separately, every action earned more entries into draws for a Date With Destiny Virtual ticket ($4,495), a Life Mastery Virtual ticket ($4,495), two 1:1 sessions with a Tony Robbins Results Coach, a Breakthrough App program, a signed copy of Life Force with a Live Lucky Hat, and a one-year Tony Robbins Inner Circle membership.

The point values were set so that the pre-event actions alone added up to 550 points. An attendee who joined both communities, did the Power Prep and attended the three Fast Start sessions had earned the toolkit before the event began.

Viral Mechanics & Growth Engine

The growth here is inside the audience rather than beyond it. The two most-completed actions were joining the event's own channels: 4,839 people joined the UPW Facebook Group and 4,628 joined the Telegram channel. Each Fast Start session drew between 3,500 and 3,640 tracked attendees, and 3,755 Power Prep completions were logged.

Once the event started, the tracker turned attendees into content. 2,119 people shared their board-break video on Day 1, 1,021 Day 3 journey videos were posted to the Facebook Group, and 2,667 Facebook posts with #TonyRobbinsUPW were logged during the event by 1,555 people. Every one of those posts put the event in front of the attendee's own friends and followers, which a registration list cannot do.

The highest-value action, worth 500 points on Day 4, pointed at the next event: "Give the gift of transformation, share UPW July." 1,598 people completed it at the emotional peak of the event, so the campaign's biggest reward went to promoting the next edition.

Results & Impact

  • 11,386 sign-ups, of which 10,625 confirmed their email (93%).
  • 5,907 people completed at least one action, logging 36,953 completed actions in total, about six per active participant.
  • 4,156 entrants reached the 500-point toolkit threshold; 1,398 passed 1,250 points and 842 passed 1,750.
  • 1,449 post-event feedback surveys submitted through the tracker.
  • 7,637 sign-ups arrived in the week of the event itself (March 13 to 19).

The July 2022 edition kept the format and added two higher tiers: 1,250 points unlocked a training from Tony's Ultimate Breakthrough Challenge and 1,750 points unlocked a behind-the-scenes training from Tony's Inner Circle. It drew 3,103 sign-ups and 8,770 completed actions.

Why This Strategy Works

Event attendees are already motivated; what they lack is structure. The Massive Action Tracker gave them a checklist that matched the event's own arc, a visible score and an instant reward for finishing the first stretch. That is commitment and consistency at work: each completed action makes the next one feel natural, and 36% of all entrants went on to reach 500 points.

It also reverses the usual direction of a giveaway. Instead of spending on a prize to attract strangers, Team Tony Robbins used digital rewards it already owned and ticket draws for its own events to deepen engagement with people who had already bought in, then pointed the biggest reward at selling the next event. For any creator, coach or brand that runs live events, cohorts or challenges, that is the template worth copying.

Key Takeaways

  1. Use points to run an agenda, not just a draw. Labelling each action by event phase told attendees what to do and when.
  2. Make the first reward reachable before the main moment. The pre-event actions added up to 550 points, so committed attendees earned the 500-point toolkit before Day 1.
  3. Reward actions that create content. Board-break videos, journey videos and hashtag posts turned attendees into distribution.
  4. Pay the most for promoting the next event. Team Tony Robbins made "share UPW July" the highest-value action and put it on the final day.
  5. Pair a guaranteed reward with big draws. Everyone could unlock the toolkit; the $4,495 event tickets gave a reason to keep going.
  6. Run it again and add tiers. The July edition added 1,250- and 1,750-point rewards for the most active participants.
